Bitmoji Classroom
I had so much fun with this project! I was literally decorating my dream classroom. Each link that I chose was placed strategically to match its respective symbol. I wanted to create a Bitmoji classroom that would keep my students curiously moving their mouse around to figure out what means what. For me, the more fun the environment, the more engagement I'll get from my students. My favorite section is the white board, where I placed drawn images to symbolize different drawing tutorial videos. They fit so well!
Podcast
Making this podcast was so much fun because I didn't have to do it alone. Originally, I was nervous because I wanted to give my artist statement but I didn't know where to begin. When I would start to record on my own, I felt so awkward and monotone. None of the audio felt like it was coming together. Eventually, I had the idea of having my boyfriend sit down and "interview" me with questions that I would answer in an artist statement and we went from there. After that, I instantly felt the difference. I could hear the passion in my voice and feel my shyness go away because I didn't feel like I was just put on the spot. It really helped to do this with someone that I am comfortable with. This podcast feels natural and smooth because it is and I couldn't be happier with the end result!

Normally, group projects scare me because there is always an issue that arises at some point. At least, for me. My team, however, was so knowledgeable and kind. They were happy to answer any of my questions and help me out when I needed it. Working on this project was fun once I really understood my own part in it (I was so lost at first). The topic that we chose was also fun and left us nostalgic for our young artist days. Creating the activity portion was my favorite part. I really enjoyed creating a fun Kahoot! game for the class.
Gallery Exhibit
Creating this project was a lot of fun because I got to learn about a fantastic artist who painted despite the obstacles in their way. Hal Lasko's story is truly inspirational and his pixel art is beautiful. I wanted my virtual exhibit to wrap around the entire gallery and showcase my favorite works of his. Lasko has become one of my favorite artists after this project and I'm so glad to have come across his amazing work!
Animation and Storyboard
This was one of the hardest projects that I've done in this class but I'm proud of the end result! I am in no way an animator, so I was incredibly nervous for this project from the get-go, but I think that I did a solid job on it for my first time. Since I don't know how to use any animation programs, I drew the frames and mouths individually, and strung the frames together with adobe premiere to create the animation. It was tough but not impossible. The audio is from videos and podcast bits between my boyfriend and I. I wanted to capture us in a cute, cartoony fashion that suited our personalities well :)
